Leila Hobday

Leila began her Aikido training in January 1999 at the Tanseikan Aikido Dojo in London under the instruction of Vanda Fairchild Sensei 5th Dan JAA and David Fielding Sensei 5th Dan JAA. Sensei Fairchild and Sensei Fielding are both Tomiki Aikido world champions and managers of the GB national squad.

Leila moved to Nottingham in 2001 and began training under Andy Hobday Sensei in the Yoshinkan style of Aikido. Leila has attended seminars both in the UK and abroad and has received tuition from many senior Yoshinkan Aikido instructors.

In 2005 Leila joined Andy Hobday Sensei in setting up and running Aikido Shoshinkai.

In 2007 Leila was awarded her Shodan by Joe Thambu Sensei (7th Dan IYAF).

Leila is a fully qualified Sport England registered instructor and is trained in first aid.
