The social part of Aikido is also very important. It was really good to meet up with people that I do and don’t work with on a regular basis in a non-work environment. Here, we were all equals, following a mutual passion.
I find the chance to wind-down after a lesson, talk about what we’ve learned and grow closer as a group to be really useful and thought provoking.
It’s also an opportunity to ask Andy or Leila any questions in a more informal setting and give and get feedback.
So far this whole experience has been very positive for me and this is in no small part to Andy and Leila who’ve both been excellent, putting us all at our ease and providing expertise and encouragement in equal measure.
Bring on the next lesson!
