Aikido Yoshinkan Nottingham

Aikido Yoshinkan is a large well established dojo based in Nottingham. Originally two separate dojos, Aikido Shoshinkai and Aikido Shudokan UK* joined forces to create a centre for Yoshinkan Aikido in Nottingham.

Under the technical direction of Sensei Joe Thambu (7th Dan, IYAF) Aikido Yoshinkan Nottingham aims to provide an open and positive environment in which to practise Aikido, respecting the traditions and origins of this Japanese martial art.

We have a real mix of students from complete beginners to the more experienced. Male and female students of all ages train with us and new members are always welcome.

Students regularly attend national and international seminars and have had the opportunity to receive tuition from some of the most senior Yoshinkan Aikido instructors in the world.

* Please note Aikido Shudokan UK is part of the Aikido Shudokan group of dojo which are registered with the IYAF. It is in no way connected to or part of the group Shudokan Institute of Aikido International which is an independent organisation with headquarters based in Nottingham.
